The Ark: Interactive Board Game
Make Create Innovate partnered with The Ark to deliver Continuous Professional Training (CPD) for educators as part of their Game Plan exhibition.
Participants worked in teams, exploring elements of game play and making decisions about the kinds of rules they would like to incorporate and how they can impact on the process and the outcomes of game play.
At the end of the session, each team had completed the design, build and testing of their game, using Makey Makey and Scratch to incorporate sound and scoring elements.
We then turned our attention to our Easter Camp and schools programme with young people from Dublin and surrounding counties. Working in teams they explored STEAM subjects and invented never seen before interactive board game prototypes, using magnetism, conductivity, design and innovation.
